Prosecutors are fighting to stop current inmates from being released in the Michigan Department of Corrections. The state of Michigan says they will save money by releasing many offenders. Prosecutors feel that it will not be safe to let them go. They say that most of the offenders in the MI DOC are violent offenders and have not been rehabilitated.
