I have heard of some horrific stories about the happenings in prison.  This one is now added to the list!  Below is an article about women inmates being shackled during the process of giving birth.  There is something that can be done about this. 

Is there no end to the harsh treatment that inmates receive.  Ladies, you know that giving birth is not an easy thing to go through when you are free.  Imagine being tied down unnecessarily, WOW!!  What a way to bring a baby into the world!

    Personally I do not think that it is right to shacle any woman as she gives birth. You would not do it to an animal why a human being?

    I agree! I think this is SO HORRIBLE!! I wonder how the authorities would feel if they had to be shackled to a bed during a time like this???

    I mam saddened. I was surfing the web nd found an ebook for sale telling future inmates how to protect themselves against rapists in prison. The book gives the impression that it is rampant and that our loved ones would never tell. Im disgusted…
